Drill Torque Handle
Cordless Drills

from RJ Bell
When a consumer looks at reports about cordless drills the reports can look too detailed for the average consumer. Most consumers just want a drill that will take a beating, isn't too heavy and will last a long time on one charge. A consumer report can provide you with that if the consumer focuses on the specific columns in the consumer report that has that criteria.
Dewalt has a nice 14.4 volt (model DC728KA) that runs around $160 that is the best value in my opinion. When comparing the most important features in choosing a tool, this model has a good "run time" , recharges in about an hour, weighs 4.3lbs. and costs a lot less than the competitors.
You can find my complete consumer report on this and other Dewalt tools at Dewalt Saws / Tools.

Garden Tools

Garden Tools
Garden Tools
****************
When working around your house you will find that a selection of garden tools will make your projects go quicker and easier. You can't always use a "power" tool, or afford to hire someone for yard work, so having variations of a few tools will speed up your projects. You will also have the satisfaction of doing the job yourself.
A short list of tools you need are;
  • Rakes, a metal teeth "garden rake" with a flat edg on the back for grading your work area and a Leaf rake for light work (and leaves)
  • Shovels, one with a round edge for digging and a square edge one for "clean-up (I use an aluminum Grain shovel - which I also use for shoveling snow)
